CoralPoint announces Chris Houston as Global Lead for M&A Services

January 12, 2026 – Glasgow, UK – CoralPoint, the global business and sustainability consulting firm dedicated to the energy transition is today announcing the appointment of Chris Houston as Global Service Lead for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Chris joined CoralPoint as a Partner and shareholder during the final quarter of 2025. He joined from UL Solutions where he was Director of Offshore Wind Advisory Services, leading the growth of the global team and establishing UL as a leading provider of both M&A and Lenders Technical Advisory (LTA) services. Prior to UL, Chris was an Associate Director in ERM’s M&A group, where he led numerous renewable energy transaction advisory mandates, with a particular specialism in project management of complex LTA mandates. Before this, he was a Principal Consultant at The Renewables Consulting Group (RCG) and Team Lead for Advisory Services at Wood. Chris started his career as a Development Project Manager at SSE Renewables.

In his role as Global Service Lead, Chris will lead CoralPoint’s approach to supporting financial institutions and power and utility clients with technical due diligence, lenders advisory, and ESG due diligence across all asset classes. CoralPoint has already delivered advisory services on over 3 GWs of projects worldwide covering both onshore and offshore wind and solar/BESS projects across the USA, UK, Germany, The Nordics, Japan, and Australia.
