What you will do

As an Associate at CoralPoint you will support one or more of our global service lines (strategy, sustainability, capital projects, safety, and M&A) working with some of the world’s leading organisations to help shape and deliver solutions on a wide range of research and consultancy assignments covering on- and offshore wind, solar PV, BESS, and other emerging energy technologies.

Some of the key tasks of your role will likely include:

  • Work on a diverse range of projects and assignments relating to both mainstream and emerging energy technologies;
  • Preparing technical reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Support and prepare international market intelligence, analysis, and research;
  • Support the development and execution of wind, solar, green hydrogen, and BESS projects;
  • Contribute to a wide range of client engagements including strategy, sustainability and ESG advisory, capital projects, safety, and technical due diligence;
  • Analyse project data and create reports to assist with investment cases and operational decisions;
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary and multi-regional teams working closely with project managers to deliver client engagements;
  • Gain broader business and sector insights by rotation through all of our global service lines before deciding on where you want to make the biggest impact;
  • Support Partners and senior managers with proposal preparation and framing of client deliverables;
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute your innovative ideas to enhance project delivery;
  • Create engaging graphics and visuals to showcase work effectively and simplify complex information for client consumption.

As an Associate you will have a foundational understanding of the renewable energy sector gained from either your studies or some prior work experience. You will have a base understanding and a passion to develop your knowledge and hone your skills in renewable energy at one of the industries fastest growing consulting firms. You will take on significant responsibility for delivering analysis and owning topics on some of the most significant client engagements in our sector. Whist based in our EMEA region you will also contribute to projects in the Americas and Asia Pacific as required.

More specific responsibilities will be based on your educational background and where you wish to focus your efforts.

What you’ll bring

  • A strong interest and passion for renewable energy and furthering the fight against climate change;
  • Degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical), renewable energy technology, sustainability / ESG, environmental sciences, or another related field;
  • Prior work or educational experience in wind energy, solar PV, green fuels, and/or BESS would be beneficial;
  • Able to positively influence and engage with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Ability to create outstanding work products and client deliverables including PowerPoint decks, MSWord documents, MSExcel, and other deliverables;
  • Experience in analysing, preparing and presenting data;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with good attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to learn in diverse project environments;
  • Strong collaboration and able to work effectively with a variety of people;
  • Professional curiosity and diligence;
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach, with ambition and drive;
  • A full UK driving licence.
